Most of the solutions for energy/food production require a stream of water, an open windfull area or the mojority of daily sunlight.

To get the most out of your area use all the methods you can, a solar panel and a tiny stream is a good combo,
because when the solar panel is ineffective because of skies and rain, the stream size increase along with turbine efficency.
